Book Cover

One of the projects at school was to design a book cover. This individual project lasted for three weeks, during the first two weeks I received several workshops on background and illustration creation. These workshops would help me in the final assignment of this whole project: illustrating a book cover.

At the beginning of this project, I first had to make a mood board and some sketches to get an idea of what the cover should look like. I made these sketches analogously, simply using pencil, watercolour and paper. After this, I started developing some of these sketches into a number of proposals that I had to get approved and reviewed. Shown here are the three proposals.

On the three proposals, I received feedback from one of my teachers. With this feedback, I had to further edit one of the proposals into the final result. Below is an image of the overall picture, front and back of the book cover.
