Capture the Moment.
One of my many hobbies is photography. With my DSLR camera, I like to go out and shoot the most beautiful snapshots.
After graduating from secondary school, my parents gifted me an SLR camera. This started my love for photography. I have always found the profession interesting, and used to take pictures with my phone and compact camera, but after getting my SLR, I started to delve more into the world of photography. What makes a photo a good photo? What about exposure? What do I want to achieve with a photo? These are questions I am increasingly asking myself now that I am more interested in photography.
Unfortunately, photography is not part of my studies. However, I am working on an online course to gain experience and skills within the profession. As a hobby photographer, I find it incredibly fun to take professional photos when I am at a special location, for instance. Below, I show a selection of photos I have taken over the past two years.

Bella Sardegna
Sardinia, my second home. Because my grandfather was born and grew up in Sardinia, I still go there regularly to visit my family. I can honestly say that I am proud to be partly of Sardinian descent, because Sardinia…. how beautiful you are. I have been able to photograph the beauty of this Italian island several times, and I am proud to show you the snapshots I have taken.
Dying Alexander
The large sculpture, bigger than a person, shows a young man with long, thick hair. His expression looks sad, with a half-closed mouth and a frowning gaze turned upward. The head is twisted strongly to the right. The neck and torso, along with some parts of the hair, face, and nose, were restored in modern times. There are also signs of rework on the back of the head.
The sculpture has been known since 1550 when it was listed as a portrait of the dying Alexander. The idea that it depicted Alexander was popular until the discovery of the Azara head in 1779. The sculpture inspired paintings in Florence around 1580 and was replicated in marble and porphyry. The history of its restoration reflects changes in taste and opinions about Alexander.
Although the head is not a depiction of Alexander, it is a rare Greek original from the late Hellenistic period, known for its artistic quality. Recent findings suggest a link to a monumental complex in ancient times. Originally thought to be connected to the Giants of the Pergamon Altar, current views associate it with representations of sea creatures emerging from the sea.
Duomo di Milano
In May 2022, I visited the city of Milan for the first time. I visited the Dom there, and Heavens…. how beautiful it was. As I entered, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the religious building and wanted to capture all the details both in my memory and on my memory card. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me, and so I took all the pictures with my phone.
The roof of the cathedral was also overwhelmingly beautiful, and had a bit of the Hogwarts look and feel from Harry Potter. Because it was cloudy that day, I got special effects in the sky when editing the photos.
